What You’ll Do:
As Health Education Coordinator you will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of comprehensive health initiatives for grades K-8 in the Salem Public Schools.
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure implementation of current health curriculums
- Collaborate with district leaders to identify gaps in comprehensive health services and programming
- Monitor compliance of health-related grant compliance
- In conjunction with classroom teachers, provide direct health instruction to students
- Facilitate professional development and training surrounding health needs for staff
- Works under the general supervision of the School Nurse Director
- Work with district-wide multidisciplinary team to align district goals and programmatic implementation
- Gain certification as Botvin Life Skills Training Train the Trainer
- Additional duties may be assigned as appropriate

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (Required), Master’s Degree preferred
- Required Massachusetts Teaching Certification/Licensure in K-8
- Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district, and/or in self-selected professional growth activities
- Second Language (Spanish) Proficiency
