What You’ll Do:
Instructional Paraprofessionals assist classroom teachers in Dual Language classrooms and other certified personnel in providing an innovative, high-quality education program designed to support the development of literacy and numeracy skills and content knowledge. Paraprofessionals work with school staff to provide students with opportunities to engage in targeted small group instruction, hands-on learning, and social engagement with peers in a safe and welcoming environment. Paraprofessionals are expected to contribute to our professional and positive school culture and climate. The candidate is dependable, organized, flexible, and eager to learn through participation in professional development, hands-on experiences, reading, and workshop training.
Role Responsibilities:
Instructional Paraprofessionals will:
- Assist teachers in implementing daily objectives through facilitating small group and individualized instruction
- Assist the teacher in promoting a classroom environment that supports learning and provides for the social and emotional growth of all students
- Perform any other reasonable tasks or duties as assigned by the building principal or immediate supervisor.

Paraprofessional Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, or an Associates Degree, or forty-eight (48) credit hours of College Coursework, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment (http://www.ets.org/parapro/) preferred
- Experience working with children preferred
- High levels of energy, patience, and initiative
- Spanish proficiency required
