21C High School Internship - Winter & Spring, Internal Salem Public Schools Student ONLY SY2024-2025
Job Description & Program Goal: The 21C Internship aims to provide high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in the education field with a school-year internship. This internship allows students to gain valuable experience while offering additional support to students at 21st CCLC school sites, which include: Collins Middle School, Horace Mann, Witchcraft Heights, and Bentley Academy
Internship Commitment: The 21C internship is a 10-week winter program, with the potential to extend for an additional 10 weeks during the spring session. Interns are required to attend a program orientation in December and participate in bi-weekly training sessions with the intern liaison. These sessions are designed to help interns build the skills necessary for success in their roles. Interns must also schedule a pre-internship walkthrough with their site coordinator.
Interns must be available to work at least 5 hours per week, with the option to work up to 12 hours per week. In addition to the regular weekly schedule, interns are required to:
- Attend a program orientation the week of February 26th.
- Participate in seven bi-weekly professional development sessions.
- Engage in weekly check-ins with the intern supervisor for guidance and progress tracking.
All required paperwork for Salem Public Schools must be completed before the internship begins, and interns must be at least 16 years of age by the start of the program.
