Position Overview:
The CTE Intern at Salem High School will play a vital role in supporting the Career and Technical Education department and instructors within their classrooms. The selected candidate will actively contribute to enhancing the educational experience by assisting with technology-related tasks, programming, and web development initiatives. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in CTE while helping to empower students and instructors in their learning endeavors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Collaborate with CTE instructors to provide technical support during classroom activities, ensuring that technology resources are functioning smoothly.
- Programming Assistance: Assist in programming-related tasks, including coding assignments, software development projects, and troubleshooting programming challenges.
- Web Development: Contribute to web development projects within the CTE department, working on websites, web applications, and online resources.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Help identify and resolve technical issues that may arise during CTE classes, ensuring minimal disruption to the learning process.
- Resource Development: Assist in the creation of educational materials and resources, including online content and digital tools to support CTE curriculum.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant program related to IT, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Demonstrates a strong interest in programming, web development, and technology.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages and web development technologies.
- Basic knowledge of hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Detail-oriented and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
